Bar-Mitzvah

This is a very special day, for girls when they turn 12 and boys when they turn 13. The event is almost like a wedding with a ceremony and celebration surrounded by family and friends.

You want people to get the event as soon as possible on their calendars, so be sure to get the word by sending email, creating a facebook or an evite page or possibly even make a video invitation. This can be done with a cell phone these days!

This event is formal at the ceremony but that doesn’t mean the celebration afterwards has to be, that is up to you and how you envision that special day to be.

The theme is already set, the venue, menu and entertainment are the main decisions to be made. The venue should be chosen and booked at least 6 months in advance. Choose 3 different dates to be able to ensure you will get the right venue, caterer and entertainment.

Some fun ideas for the occasion; have a special large birthday card made for everyone to sign or possibly a hanging banner for everyone to sign and leave any special comments. This will be a keepsake item your child will be able to have for the rest of their life.
